What is Water Level Screening Survey services ?
The Water Level Screening Survey service is the process of broadly sifting through pipe facilities to identify functional deficiencies and deterioration.

Areas with malfunctioning pipeline facilities will be identified based on water level observations. The results can be utilized for various countermeasures, including infiltration/inflow control, CSO and SSO management, stormwater management, and sewer heat utilization.
When & Where the Water Level Screening Survey service is needed?
When you want to conduct a wet weather inflow investigation , but are unsure where to start and which survey method to use.

When you are concerned that a Large-scale investigation for Inflow and Infiltration (I&I) countermeasures Survey may result in high costs.

When you want to monitor the water levels and overflow conditions in manholes during heavy rainfall.
How the Water Level Screening Survey service Works?
Water pressure logger will be temporarily installed at the bottom of the sewer pipe, together with the air pressure logger and rainfall transmitter (TOUGH NET), to measure the water level inside the pipe and rainfall at one-minute intervals.

Water pressure loggers are temporarily installed at multiple locations within each survey area, totaling anywhere from several dozen to several hundred sites.

Air pressure loggers and rainfall transmitters are typically installed at a rate of one unit per 5-kilometer area.

Air pressure loggers are placed at a height within the manhole where they will not be submerged. For manholes with a risk of overflow, we will place the loggers above ground.

Furthermore, the Water Level Screening Survey allows for a Risk Assessment of Water Levels in Sewer Pipelines

The pipeline water level risk assessment aims to continuously measure water levels by water level screening survey.It analyzes, via a matrix, if levels exceed the half-pipe level (invert elevation) during both dry and wet weather, providing an overview of overflow risks in pipeline facilities and indicating potential unknown water sources (e.g., rainwater inflow) based solely on water levels.

The Risk assessment results will be compiled into a hazard map and a record resembling a health check chart.Providing a clear overview of risk level trends and location information , and enabling an understanding of the current status for planned maintenance.

Absolute Pressure Type

By measuring water pressure and air pressure separately in a sewage pipe and channel , the water level will be calculated from the difference between these pressures.

Two loggers are required. One for air pressure and the other one for water pressure.

Tough Level G

Gauge Pressure Type

Device configuration, measurement control(start/stop), data checking and downloading can all be performed via a vented cable connected to a PC.

This is especially useful when collecting data from a distance, such as in underground water level monitoring, without needing to remove the logger from its installed location.

Only one logger is required for water level measurement.

Tough Level U

Ultrasonic Type

Mounting this logger on top of pipes and channels, water level can be measured without a dead zone of ultrasonic by a 45 degrees reflection plate. (Measurable span: 0 to 0.5m, Accuracy: +/- 1mm)

It will help a low water level measurement in a small diameter pipe at mid-night.

● Operates continuously for over a year by internal battery
● Supporting SIM-card, enabling immediate web-based monitoring from the smartphone or PC
● Supporting various field information such as a water level, flowrate, flow quality, gas, deterioration and/or images.
● Linking measurement points on a GIS map or a piping floor plan, monitoring screen can be displayed measured values and trend by “Day,” “Week,” and “Month.” Also, an alert can be announced by email.

The entire system is portable,no need for construction work, and can be easily installed and removed

Water levels will be detected every minute, and if it exceeds preset water level, an alarm will be issued to the safety manager and on-site staff working within the pipe.

Multiple monitoring units can be installed at various upstream locations, transmitting alerts to one central receiver.
